Reduction of waste with the Cubixx System

With the increase in distribution of high-value specialty drugs in recent years, the reduction of pharmaceutical waste has become an even greater concern. Since 2017, the Suzuken Group has offered medical institutions and pharmacies the Cubixx System, a traceability system for specialty drugs using RFID and dedicated storage cabinets equipped with IoT technology, thereby helping to reduce social costs through inventory optimization and reduced pharmaceutical waste.

In Japan, medicines going unused because prescriptions were not followed has become a serious problem for society. Solving this problem requires detailed drug usage guidance by pharmacists.

Suzuken Group pharmacies provide simple, clear advice on how to take medications, and they use one-dose packaging^※1 and perform brown bag reviews^※2 to help patients take their medications as prescribed.

They are also now offering online medication instruction and home delivery of pharmaceuticals to further enhance customer convenience.
